HIV/AIDS prevention

Prevention against new HIV infections:

This is implemented especially through Anti-HIV Clubs (AAC) that are supported in 20 partner-schools and in 30 churches.

We promote HIV Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT). We mobilize communities for male circumcision and promote early infant circumcision.

Ensure care for the children and women living with HIV

We ensure HIV infected/affected children access to education, we pay community medical insurance for HIV infected children and women. We support income generating activities for youths and women living with HIV for their financial self-sufficiency. We organize support groups of children and those of parents living with HIV for counselling and to forge peer education, experience sharing and problem resolution towards resilience. In year 2015-2016, we supported education for 196 primary pupils and 143 secondary students living with HIV.
